Love Plus condoms have become an important part of the safer sexual practices in Romania. All PSI/Romania condoms and lubricants are sold at a mid-level price range, making them affordable to consumers while also generating revenue which not only covers all condom procurement, distribution and promotion costs but also funds behavior change interventions with high-risk youth and men who have sex with men (MSM) for HIV prevention and, from the end of 2006, all of PSI/Romania’s operational costs.

In 2006, through promotional campaigns and improved distribution, Love Plus regained the number one position in the Romanian condom market with a 33.2% share, while the overall condom market grew by about 25% after nearly two years of little to no growth.
