PSI Romania uses revenue from the sales of its Love Plus brand of condoms and lubricants to support its own programs to prevent HIV/AIDS among high-risk groups in Romania. In 2006, three corporate sponsors, Orange, Amigo and Trenta Pizza, co-supported the PSI youth program implemented in Bucharest. The funding from these sponsors was able to be used wholly for direct costs of the agreed projects, for example see two of the communications sponsored by Orange below. This was because Love Plus revenue covers the base and overhead cost of the programs.
PSI Romania is registered as a tax deductible charity in Romania and by leveraging resources from corporate partners with our own we can deliver high impact programs. We have successfully implemented large donor funded programs, winning a Global Media Award in 2006 (see under the RFHI project) for the True Women Campaign. We are happy to work with socially responsible corporations to develop cost effective strategies to meet our mutual objectives.
